John H. Aycock is the Director of Graduate and International Programs. He previously served as a C.V. Starr Lecturer and coach of STL’s Willem C. Vis Arbitration Moot team. John earned his B.A. with highest honors in English from University of Florida and a J.D. with honors from University of Michigan Law School. While at Michigan, John sat on the Executive Committee of Michigan Journal of International Law, won a best brief award in the school’s flagship moot court, and wrote a successful brief on behalf of an incarcerated appellant. After law school, John clerked for Presiding Judge Alberto C. Lamorena, III of the Superior Court of Guam. Prior to joining STL, he served as a Bates Fellow at International Bridges to Justice in Geneva. He also has experience teaching English in China and Japan. John is a member of the Florida Bar.
Chill Chen is the Officer of Student Affairs. He graduated from University of Macau, conferred with Bachelor’s degree of International and Public Affairs. He is now responsible for managing student organizations, designing student activities and other student affairs.
Zoe Dai is Senior Officer of Academic and Exchange Programs. She obtained both her Masters and Bachelors Degree in Law from China University of Political Science and Law. She joined STL in 2012. She works with professors and students on academic affairs and is also responsible for STL exchange programs and helps students from abroad studying at STL.
Carrie Tan is the officer of communications and marketing. She earned her B.A. in English Translation from Lingnan Normal University’s School of Foreign Studies and received her master’s degree in Translation Studies from Birmingham University. She joined STL at the end of 2016 and is responsible for school promotion and outreach.
Tessie Tian is the Technical Services Librarian at Peking University School of Transnational Law. She obtained her MLIS (Master of Library and Information Science) at Dominican University in the U.S. Prior to joining the STL, she worked as a Technical Services Librarian at Moraine Valley Community College for two years. Besides, she also worked as volunteering Metadata Librarian at the library of University of Illinois at Chicago and took charge of the metadata cleanup project for digital collections. Now as a law school librarian at the STL, she is responsible for resource acquisition, cataloging, collection management, and legal research to support faculty members and students’ academic needs.
Sophie Wang is the Officer of Development and Career Services at Peking University School of Transnational Law. Sophie received her M.A. from University of International Business and Economics. She joined STL at 2017, mainly responsible for providing career counseling to students and strengthening relationships with employers, alumni, and faculty.
Vidya Wang is Officer of Administrative and Faculty Support.She obtained both her Masters and Bachelors Degree in Administration from Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology.Before joining STL,she worked as a Class Counselor at Nanjing Army Command College for half of a year and she was in charge of the international logistic project in Redstone Haute Counture Ltd. for nearly 3 years which is an Italian leading luxury brand management company.As an officer of Administrative and Faculty Support,she will provide daily administrative support and counseling service to faculty.
Cherry Yang is the Senior Officer of Student Affairs. She is a graduate from Hong Kong Baptist University. She holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from Hong Kong Baptist University a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Social Adminstration from United International College. Before joining STL, Ms. Yang worked as a pyschological counselor with the Civil Affairs Bureau Marriage Registration Office in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. As a student counselor, she guides students on relevant affairs and provides psychological counseling services.
Wenwen Xu is the officer of Administrative and Faculty Support. She obtained her master degree in Public Policy from the Chinese University of Hongkong. She joined STL in 2016. She is responsible for daily faculty support and academic affairs.
Charly Zhang is Director of Development and Career Services at the Peking University School of Transnational Law. Prior to joining Peking University School of Transnational Law, Charly was an attorney at law in Guangdong Shentiancheng Law Firm, working on IPO and M&A. Charly received his Juris Master degree from Peking University School of law and his undergraduate degree in management from Zhengzhou Institute of Aeronautical Industrial Management in Zhengzhou, Henan province.
Kim Zhong is Director of Admissions, Communications and Student Services at Peking University School of Transnational Law. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Beijing Foreign Studies University, and a Master’s degree in economics from Peking University. Kim Zhong joined STL in 2009. She has been responsible for admissions, managing media relations, websites, social media tools, brochures, IT support and academic related matters such as class scheduling, course enrollment, and casebook and materials processing. In the year of 2016, she made a transition into the new position as Director of Admissions, Communications and Student Services. She works closely with Peking University and PKU Shenzhen Graduate School, and her responsibilities include organizing roadshows and the Summer Honors Program to recruit potential students, providing information regarding admission affairs, advising on admission regulations and projects and supervising communication and student affairs work at STL.
Constance Zhu is the Officer of Finance. Constance holds a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting at the Adelaide University and Master of Human Resource Management at University of South Australia. Before joining STL, Constance has been working as an assistant auditor in the Certified Public Accountant firm. As Financial Officer, Constance will serve in school-level Finance matters, including budget, student and staff reimbursement, payroll and purchase/invoice requests.
