
Jeffrey LEHMAN is Chancellor and Founding Dean of the Peking University School of Transnational Law, and Vice Chancellor of NYU-Shanghai. He studied at Cornell University and the University of Michigan Institute of Public Policy Studies, and he holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan Law School. He has served as President of Cornell University, Dean of the University of Michigan Law School, Law Clerk to Chief Judge Frank Coffin of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, Law Clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, and President of the American Law Deans Association. He has also taught at the Yale Law School, l’Université de Paris II, and Tsinghua University. He is a scholar of tax law and public benefits law, and he is the author of An Optimistic Heart, and Corporate Income Taxation.
