“Intellectual property laws are one of the tools available to encourage innovation. How do we build entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystems that optimize the use of these tools? How do we optimize and balance the use of intellectual property rights? These are some of the questions I like to explore with my students and colleagues.”

  • Joy Xiang教授的研究侧重于探索加强创新和合作的方法。她的教学内容包括美国及国际知识产权制度、专利法和知识产权战略。Xiang教授在美国接受了法律、公共政策、技术创业和计算机科学方面的教育。在加入STL之前,Xiang教授曾作为兼职教授在华盛顿大学法学院任教,并作为知识产权研究员在伊利诺伊理工学院芝加哥-肯特法学院任教。

    Xiang教授还在美国科技行业有15年的工作经验,担任过摩托罗拉公司的软件工程师和项目经理、曾作为各种组织和发明人的知识产权律师,以及微软公司的法律顾问。她的技术专长包括软件工程和计算机操作系统优化。她的法律专长包括全球专利实践和专利组合管理。她还从事复杂的专利诉讼、专利交叉许可和知识产权政策审查等工作。
