Fernando Bracaccini is an Assistant Professor at Peking University School of Transnational Law. His research lies at the intersection of philosophy and criminal law. In particular, he focuses on the limits over the state in criminalizing behavior, the grounds for the state’s authority to hold wrongdoers accountable, and the role of blame and forgiveness in criminal law. His recent work has been published in Criminal Law and Philosophy. Prior to joining STL, Fernando taught at University Torcuato Di Tella, KU Leuven, University of Palermo, and University of Buenos Aires. Fernando got a J.S.D. at Yale Law School and was a PhD researcher at KU Leuven in Belgium, where he is currently a doctoral candidate in philosophy. He also holds a BA in law from University of Buenos Aires.
