Peking University School of Transnational Law Establishes New Foreign-Related Legal Internship Base

Inauguration Ceremony of Shihui Partners (Shenzhen)’s New Office and Unveiling of Peking University School of Transnational Law’s Foreign-Related Legal Internship Base and Shenzhen Gemdale Viseen Center’s Foreign-Related Legal Service Center Held in Shenzhen on February 18, 2025.

The inauguration ceremony of Shihui Partners (Shenzhen)’s new office, alongside the unveiling ceremonies for the Peking University School of Transnational Law (STL) Foreign-Related Legal Internship Base and the Shenzhen Gemdale Viseen Center Foreign-Related Legal Service Center, were grandly held on the 36th floor of Shenzhen Gemdale Viseen Center. Representatives from STL, including Assistant Dean Zhang Chenli and Deputy Director of the Career Development Center Wang Qian, attended the event.

The ceremony was presided over by Attorney Lai Yulong, Partner at Shihui Partners. Speeches were delivered by Mr. Wu Shuozao, Deputy Director of Nanshan District Enterprise Development Service Center; Attorney Niu Zhenyu, Founding Partner of Shihui Partners; Attorney Wang Rui, Partner of Shihui Partners; and Assistant Dean Zhang Chenli of STL. The event formally announced the establishment of the STL Foreign-Related Legal Internship Base and the Shenzhen Gemdale Vanguard Center Foreign-Related Legal Service Center.  

In his address, Assistant Dean Zhang Chenli highlighted STL’s educational philosophy and achievements in cultivating legal talent. Established in 2008, Peking University School of Transnational Law (STL) remains the only law school worldwide offering both a Chinese Juris Master (J.M.) program and a U.S.-style Juris Doctor (J.D.) curriculum. STL is dedicated to nurturing globally minded legal professionals with profound theoretical grounding and practical expertise. The school emphasizes innovative legal education, practice-oriented training, and collaborative partnerships with legal institutions to align academic programs with industry needs, including internship systems and off-campus training bases. Through the "Seedling Program", STL aims to collaborate closely with Shihui Partners via the Foreign-Related Legal Internship Base, fostering synergy between legal education and practice to cultivate talent capable of addressing global challenges.  

Moving forward, STL and Shihui Partners will deepen their partnership to jointly advance the development of foreign-related legal talent, empowering enterprises to navigate an increasingly globalized landscape.
