讲座预告 | 6月20日：Legal Disputes in Cross-border E-commerce

6月20日，受北京大学国际法学院（英文简称“STL”）邀请，圣塔克拉拉大学法学院的知名学者Eric Goldman教授和跨境律所 Summit Zenith（Cross-Border Counselor LLP） 合伙人Wesley Emanuel Johnson将于我院举办主题为“Dialogue: The Theory and Practice of Legal Disputes in Cross-border E-commerce”的公开讲座，本次讲座由我院黄卉教授发起，欢迎感兴趣的师生参与！具体信息如下：

Eric Goldman is a prominent professor at Santa Clara University School of Law and a leading scholar in the field.

In his seminal paper, "A SAD Scheme of Abusive Intellectual Property Litigation," Professor Goldman exposes how the scheme abuses judicial resources and deprives defendants of due process. He highlights the systemic unfairness it imposes, particularly on Chinese merchants. His critical analysis has led to increased judicial scrutiny of such cases and has provided valuable legal support for cross-border e- commerce merchants defending their rights.

Wesley Emanuel Johnson is a partner at the cross-border law firm Summit Zenith (Cross-Border Counselor LLP), specializing in both litigation and transactional legal services. He has extensive experience in drafting and negotiating documents in business, real estate, employment disputes, and mergers and acquisitions. He also serves as long-term outside general counsel to various companies, helping them control legal costs and improve compliance efficiency.
