Professors Mark Feldman and Sang Yop Kang Attend the 14th China (South China) Enterprise Legal Forum and Are Appointed as SCIA Chief Representatives for the U.S. and South Korea


On March 21, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) held the 14th China (South China) Enterprise Legal Forum at the SCIA Tower (Qianhai). Mark Feldman, Interim Dean and Professor of Law and Sang Yop Kang, Professor of Law, at Peking University School of Transnational Law (“STL”) were invited to attend. 

The year 2026 marks the APEC China Year. The Forum was themed “Focus on APEC: Chinese Enterprises Going Global and Dispute Resolution.” Fifteen SCIA Chief Representatives from 12 APEC economies, including Singapore, Malaysia, the United States, Russia, and Taiwan, China, delivered keynote speeches, interpreting the legal systems and business environments of relevant APEC economies for Chinese enterprises expanding overseas.

Professor Mark Feldman was appointed as SCIA’s Chief Representative for the United States (alongside Peter Neumann), and Professor Sang Yop Kang was appointed as SCIA’s Chief Representative for South Korea. Subsequently, the two professors delivered keynote speeches on the business environments and legal systems of the United States and South Korea, respectively, providing professional legal guidance for Chinese enterprises expanding into APEC economies.
