On April 22, Dr Fu Panfeng傅攀峰, assistant research fellow at the Institute of International Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Professor Susan Finder had a dialogue about some of the main similarities and differences between English and Chinese academic writing, as part of the Transnational Law Review Seminar course, recognizing that some overgeneralizations were inevitable.

STL Assistant Professor Stephen Minas was elected vice-chair of the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) of UN Climate Change, at its meeting during the first week of April. The TEC was established in 2010 by the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

Susan Finder, STL Distinguished Scholar in Residence, recently spoke at an important international conference on Chinese law , entitled “China’s Legal System at 40 Years-Towards an Autonomous Legal System?”
