Professor Minas Participated in UN Climate Technology Meetings

The United Nations Climate Change Technology Mechanism held its latest meetings in March in Incheon, Republic of Korea. STL Associate Professor Stephen Minas participated in the meetings as a member of both the Technology Executive Committee (TEC) and the Advisory Board of the Climate Technology Centre and Network(CTCN).

The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Green Climate Fund in Songdo, was the first since the launch of the Technology Mechanism’s historic first-ever Joint Work Programme at the Sharm el-Sheikh climate conference in November 2022.

During the meetings, Dr Minas moderated a roundtable discussion of financial institutions on the theme of enhancing collaboration for technology development and transfer, with participants from the Adaptation Fund, Green Climate Fund and Korean Development Bank. Dr Minas also reported on the TEC’s efforts to achieve gender balance in its work and presented a draft policy brief.
