STL Student’s Article Featured in the forthcoming Max Planck Yearbook of United Nations Law

On 15 December, volume 26 of the Max Planck Yearbook of United Nations Law (UNYB) is set to be published. This edition will feature a special thematic forum on “The International Court of Justice at 75: an Assessment”, including therein articles and other contributions that relate to the work of the International Court of Justice, as a commemoration to the Court’s 75th anniversary.

STL 4L student Liu Yishu’s article, Treating Evidence from Negotiations: the so-called Exclusionary Practice will contribute to this special volume.

This article addresses an evidentiary rule applied before the international court of justice. “I first encountered the topic during the 2022 Jessup moot court competition in which I participated. The competition concluded in March, but the intricacies of the subject lingered in my mind. In April 2022, when I was doing the STL’s Law Review Blog with Prof. Susan Finder, I seized the opportunity to extend my research. What began as a blog post endeavor soon evolved into the realization that the topic warranted a comprehensive academic article.”
