Professor Nitzan Shilon Presents in US and Europe on Recently Published Article

Recently, STL professorNitzan Shilonwas invited to present on his article, “Pay for Destruction: The Executive Compensation Arrangements That Encourage Value-Decreasing Stock Buybacks,” at three different conferences this year. The conferences were hosted by universities from the US and Europe and has often engaged multidisciplinary scholars from across the globe.

Professor Shilon presented at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Conference on Financial Regulation, which has been held annually since its inauguration in 2012 and has attracted scholars from across multiple disciplines. He also presented at the University of Tennessee's two-day National Business Law Scholars conference (“NBLSC”), a legal scholar hub since 2009. Finally, professor Shilon was invited to discuss his paper at the German Law and Economics Association (“GLEA”) annual conference, hosted by Freie Universitat Empirical Legal Studies Center. All events were held virtually this year.

The article was originally published on theColumbia Law School blogon corporations and the capital markets. In April, professor Shilon was invited on CII’s Podcast “The Voice of Corporate Governance”, discussing the same topic.
