Professor Norman Ho Presents Legal Punishment at CUHK Law

STL Associate Professor Norman Ho was invited to deliver a public lecture at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law (“CUHK Law:) on September 20, 2019. The lecture, titled “Mutilating Corporal Punishments and Theories of Punishment in Traditional Chinese Legal Thought“, traces the history of mutilating corporal punishments (MCPs) in traditional China and explains the key debates over reinstating MCPs.

The lecture was part of the 5th Greater China Legal History Seminar Series 2019-20, which aims to serve as a forum to discuss the historical development of a great variety of legal issues of interest. For more information, Please visit here.
