Thomas Reuters'Asian Legal Business recently announced the list of the top 15 TMT lawyers in ALB China in 2021. Peking University School of Transnational Law (“STL”) class of 2012 alumni, Wu Han who is now Partner at King & Wood Mallesons (KWM), made the list for his frontier experience and wide client-recognition.
Wu Han joined King & Wood Mallesons (Beijing Office) in 2011 and is currently a partner at the firm. His main areas of practice at KWM is cybersecurity, data compliance, and governance. Mr. Wu has advised leading enterprises in various sectors including banking, insurance, finance, mobile Internet, e-commerce, telecommunications, transportation, and daily-use chemicals. In recent years, Mr. Wu has also assisted many well-known domestic and foreign companies in the formulation and revision of privacy policies, compliance schemes, and cross-border data transfer schemes.
As a member of the first group of students to graduate from STL, Wu Han has actively contributed to the school's development by participating in seminars and alumni gathering. When asked about being named one of the 2021 ALB China Top 15 TMT Lawyers, Wu Han said that this honor belongs to his team: “the field of TMT is changing rapidly, and the need to provide corresponding legal services requires international vision and high proficiency. I am grateful for STL for providing professional and leading legal education and training, which enable us to meet these requirements in the TMT industry.” At the same time, Wu Han also expects that more STL students would join the global legal service and promote the development of law and the mutual recognition of legal values in different industries and regions.
