How to Join in

Requirements:

  1. Players should apply through the school or department

  2. All players should be students or faculty of Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University

How to Register

  1. 1 group leader and 1 student in charge of sports activities is needed for each school or department (see the registration form for more information)

  2. Special presents are prepared for players who join the game. Group leaders of each school or department need to send the name list of players to 1401213781@sz.pku.edu.cn one week in advance of the game (before Nov. 20th )

  3. Players for group activities need better to dress in the same color

  4. At least 40 people with uniform is needed for each school or department for the opening ceremony phalanx (no requirement for 新材料学院). Each phalanx should have one group leader and one standard bearer. The slogan of each school or department should be sent along with the registration form to 1401213781@sz.pku.edu.cn

  1. Tug-of War: scored by 72, 56, 48, 40, 32, 32, 32, 32

  2. Rope Skipping: scored by 45, 35, 30, 25, 20, 15, 10, 5

  3. Face-to-Face Relay: scored by 63, 49, 42, 35, 28, 21, 14, 7

  4. Leg-Tied Running: scored by 63, 49, 42, 35, 28, 21, 14, 7

  5. Super Tornado Running: scored by 63, 49, 42, 35, 28, 21, 14, 7

  6. Group Step: scored by 63, 49, 42, 35, 28, 21, 14, 7

  7. A special ‘courtesy prize’ is also set

Notice

  1. One player can register for only one activity (except for tug-of-war)

  2. All students and faculty should present. Please get seated according to the guidance map

  3. Players should be present 20 minutes before the start of the activity

  4. If a player fails to show up and without an acceptable reason, 2 scores will be reduced for the school or the department the player belongs to

  5. Any cheating behavior will lead to disqualification and publication in the Graduate School

  6. Any school or department whose player violated any of the rules above will be excluded from the courtesy prize

Introduction to Activities

1. Tail of the Dragon

Location: on the Soccer field

Time: 3:50pm–4:05pm

Players:leaders of schools or departments and of the Graduate School (12 players in all)

Equipment: 3 soccer balls, 1 whistle and 3 stopwatches.

Rules:

  • Each player draw lots to determine the order.

  • When the referee announces the start, players should shoot at a point 10 metres away from the goal. The ball will hit one of the cards with certain scores on it. Five chances.

  • If the ball fails to reach the goal, then 0 score.

  • If there are any equal scores among the top 3 players, one addition shoot will be added.

2. Tug-of-War

Location: on the track.

Time: 4:05pm–4:20pm

Players: 10 males and 10 females

Rules:

  • Three lines are drawn on the ground with an interval of 300 cm. The three lines are two boundaries and a middle line.

  • If neither side wins at 1.5 minutes of the game, the team which is farther to the middle line wins.

  • All players shouldn’t ware spiked shoes or barefoot. No gloves are allowed. Teams must not release the rope until the end of the game.

  • Game will be played in an elimination system. Teams will draw lots to determine opponent. The winner will be announced after three rounds of elimination games.

3. Rope Skipping

Location: on the track.

Time: 4:20pm—5:20pm

Players: 6 males and 4 females, at least 1 teacher should be included.

Equipment: 5 ropes about 7 meters, a stopwatch.

Rules:

  • Two male players swing the rope and the rest eight players are divided into four groups. The four groups in turn jumps skips the rope from one side. After all groups finish, they will skip the rope from the other side.

  • Scores will be counted by the times the players successfully skip the rope within two minutes.

  • After the game starts, if for any reason the game is interrupted, players can continue to skip and the score will still be counted. When time is up, if there are players in the rope, and if the players successfully skip the rope, the score will still be counted.

Notice:

  • At the end of tug-of-war, players should get ready at the registration stand.

  • There is only one minute of warm-up before the game.

4. Face-to-Face Relay

Location: on the track.

Time: 4:20pm—5:20pm

Players: 10 males and 10 females

Equipment: baton or other alternatives

Rules:

  • Only one team can be registered for one school or department. Players in the team must be a student of the school or department.

  • Player who intentionally strikes or obstructs another player will be disqualified.

  • Players must finish the route with baton in hand. If it drops, it must be picked up. While passing the baton on to another player, no throwing is allowed, or the player will be disqualified.

  • The rank will be determined by the time each team uses. If any player beats the gun, 3 more seconds will be added into the team as punishment.

5. Leg-Tied Running

Location: on the soccer field

Time: 4:20pm–5:20pm

Players: 10 males and 10 females

Equipment: 50 strips of cloth and 2 stopwatches.

Rules:

  • The rank will be determined by the time each team uses to reach the finishing point.

  • The distance for the game is 50 metres. Before the game starts, players’ legs will be tied with the nearest leg of a play next to them. All players should start the game in standing position.

  • If the tie drops during the game, players should stop and retie the legs.

6. Super Tornado Running

Location: on the soccer field

Time: 4:20pm—5:20pm

Players: 4 males and 3 females

Equipment: sticks that are of 6-7 metres long, 6 guidance cones and one stopwatch.

Rules:

  • Only one team can be registered for one school or department. Players in the team must be a student of the school or department.

  • When the game starts, team members should carry the stick on hand and move in a route according to the map on the right. Every time the stick drops or the cone be knocked down, 5 additional seconds will be counted to the team as punishment.

  • The rank will be determined by the time each teams uses to finish the game.

7. Group Steps

Players: 4 males and 4 females.

Equipment: 4 soccer poles and 4 stopwatches.

Rules: Eight players in a team step on and off the step of 35-40cm with arm crossed with each other. Players should not set foot on restricted zone marked on the field.
