Hong Kuokseng (Bryan Hong) is an Assistant Professor at the Peking University School of Transnational Law. His research interests encompass civil law, Anglo-American private law, and the interdisciplinary study of civil law through socio-legal perspectives, with a particular emphasis on the economic analysis of civil law. He has published ten articles in leading Chinese law journals, including Chinese Journal of Law, Peking University Law Journal, Law and Social Development, and Global Law Review, and was awarded First Prize in the 11th Shenzhen Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Awards.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Nanjing University, an LL.M. from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and both a Master of Laws (J.M.) and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Peking University School of Transnational Law. He later received his Doctor of Laws (Ph.D.) from Peking University Law School and subsequently undertook postdoctoral research at the Peking University School of Transnational Law. He has also served as an editor of the Peking University Law Review.
