STL Welcomes 2020 Graduate Students

On 1st September, Peking University School of Transnational Law (STL) welcomed 158 new graduate students. In line with epidemic prevention and control requirements, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School added procedures such as access control, body temperature check, and social distancing in enrollment procedures this year. STL also prepared epidemic prevention packages for every student.

As in previous years, incumbent students also actively volunteered in orientation activities such as carrying materials, route guidance, distribution of medical check sheets and epidemic prevention kits.

Affected by the epidemic, most international students in the LL.M program will register online this year. Yuen Kwan, Wong, an LL.M. student from Hong Kong, was one of the few international students able to arrive at campus for registration. After obtaining a law degree from Durham University and before accepting an offer from King & Wood Mallesons in Hong Kong, Wong chose to complete STL’s LL.M. program to get a better sense of international legal practice and Mainland China’s legal system.

To help students acclimate to STL’s teaching mode and regulations , STL will hold a series of activities throughout this upcoming week including a welcome ceremony, theme lecture, current-student experience exchange, professor symposium, case study seminar, library resources introduction and campus tour.
