Professor Daniel C.K. Chow Will Have Three New Law Review Articles Published in 2023

Visiting Professor Daniel C.K. Chow has written three new law review articles that will be published in 2023. Two articles will be published in successive issues of theVanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law. A Private Bargaining and Efficient Breach Approach to the Problem of U.S.-China Trade(with I. Sheldon) will be published in the Spring 2023 issue andCombatting a Crisis of Global Food Protectionism Sparked by the War in Ukraine(with I. Sheldon) will be published in the Fall issue. A third articleA Critique of the 2020 United States-China Trade Agreement and Suggested Corrective Measureswill appear in the bookTrends in Global and Regional Trade: The View From North America(Edward Elgar Publishers forthcoming 2023).

Professor Chow is visiting STL from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law USA where he holds the Bazler Chair in Business Law. He writes and teaches in the fields of international trade and business, international intellectual property, and China. He is the author of over 70 law review articles and academic papers. His articles have appeared in Stanford Law & Policy Review, Iowa Law Review, Wisconsin Law Review, Chicago Journal of International Law, Virginia Journal of International Law, and University of Pennsylvania Journal of International Law. He has co-authored several leading casebooks published by Aspen and West. The fifth edition of his International Business Transactions casebook (with T. Schoenbaum) published by Aspen in 2022 is the most widely used casebook in the field in U.S. law schools. Professor Chow also previously worked in China as head of the legal department at Procter & Gamble (China) based in Guangzhou. He received his BA and JD from Yale University.
