Under the framework of the cooperation agreement between Peking University School of Transnational Law (STL) and the Supreme People’s Court’s First Circuit Court (hereinafter “First Circuit”), on June 13, led students of her "Comparative Courts" course to visit the First Circuit Court and the First International Commercial Court. The students had the opportunity to see Chinese judicial developments with their own eyes, learn about the history of the First Circuit Court, and visited different courtrooms used to try domestic cases and foreign-related cases. Afterwards, the students also had in-depth exchanges with judges of the First Circuit Court. Judge Liu Zheng, Vice President of the First Circuit Court and Head of the First International Commercial Court, combined his many years of experience in judicial reform to discuss issues such as the reform of the judge system, trial power and responsibility, judicial evaluation and supervision, diversified dispute resolution mechanisms, and the unified application of law.
