Law Fair Review | The 8th Law Fair of Peking University School of Transnational Law (STL) Concludes Successfully


From April 11 to 12, 2026, Peking University School of Transnational Law (STL) successfully held its 8th Law Fair. The two‑day event attracted 21 leading domestic and international law firms, renowned enterprises, and financial institutions, offering abundant internship and employment opportunities for the Class of 2027 graduates, while also opening applications to students from the Classes of 2026 and 2028. During the two‑day event, participating organizations delivered a series of high‑quality presentations and sharing sessions. On April 11, Linklaters kicked off the sessions with a topic titled “Transaction‑Focused Lawyers in Bond and Equity‑Linked Practices”. Kirkland & Ellis, King & Wood, Global Law Office, Allbright Office, and T&C Law Firm followed in succession, elaborating on their respective practice strengths, organizational cultures, and development platforms. On April 12, Clifford Chance, Jingtian & Gongcheng, DeHeng Law Offices, and Guantao Law Firm continued to provide students with career insights and presentations. Each session was rich in content, covering cutting‑edge areas such as capital markets and cross‑border transactions, as well as practical discussions on career development paths for lawyers, with active on‑site interactions.

On the morning of April 11, booths opened for Han Kun Law Offices, Huashang Law Firm, King & Wood, Merits & Tree Law Offices, Zhong Lun Law Firm, and CITIC Securities. In the afternoon, Fangda Partners, Han Kun Law Offices, Huashang Law Firm, King & Wood, Allbright Office  T&C Law Firm, and Zhong Lun Law Firm continued to receive student inquiries. On the morning of April 12, booths were set up by Bird & Bird, Huashang Law Firm, ZeroErr (Shenzhen) Technology Co., Ltd., Linklaters, Llinks Law Offices, and Zhiheng Law Firm. In the afternoon, booths of Baker McKenzie, DeHeng Law Offices, Guantao Law Firm, Bird & Bird, Huashang Law Firm, T&C Law Firm, and Llinks Law Firm remained busy. Some organizations also arranged on‑site interviews immediately after consultations or presentations, efficiently advancing the recruitment process.

 

The recruitment fair was held in a vibrant atmosphere. Students arrived with resumes, actively moving between presentation venues and consultation booths. Lower‑year students also took this opportunity to learn about the job market in advance and clarify their academic directions. Through face‑to‑face exchanges with law firm partners, recruitment managers, and senior lawyers, students gained a more intuitive understanding of the latest developments in various segments of the legal industry and clearer thoughts on their own career planning. Many students commented that the valuable information and advice from the event would help them enhance their core competitiveness and anchor their future development paths amid the AI era and industry transformation.

 

The success of the recruitment fair was made possible by the strong support of participating organizations, the meticulous organization of the STL Career Services Office, and the hard work of student volunteers.
