Prof. Stephen Minas participated in the International Sustainability Resources & Technology Conference within the framework of Oman Sustainability Week in Muscat. During a panel discussion on "AI and climate change: can machines alone do the job?", Dr Minas and colleagues discussed the most promising applications of AI in reducing emissions; how we can balance AI’s environmental benefits with its high energy and water usage; and the role regulators and international bodies can play in setting standards for AI sustainability.
