Alastair Marke is currently the Director-General of the Blockchain & Climate Institute (BCI), which is an internationally recognised NGO supporting governments in the deployment of blockchain, AI and emerging digital technologies to achieve climate change policy goals through policy support and executive education programmes. Alastair Marke is listed as the world’s Top 50 “ESG Ones to Watch” by the ESG Foundation in 2021 and the UK’s 30 Most Impressive & Successful Directors in the Blockchain Space by the Best Startup Magazine in 2022. Mr Marke chairs the UK national committee on distributed ledger technology standards at the British Standards Institution. On climate policy standards, he is a UK negotiator on ISO TC207 (climate adaptation, sustainable finance and greenhouse gas management) standards.
