Alex Wang is a Professor of Law at UCLA, Co-Director of the Emmett Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, and the Walter and Shirley Wang Chair in U.S.-China Relations. His research focuses on environmental governance in China, including climate policy, U.S.-China environmental cooperation, public interest litigation, and the role of state-owned enterprises. Wang holds a J.D. from NYU and a B.A. in Biology from Duke. He serves on the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, the Council on Foreign Relations, and the Environmental Law Institute's Board of Directors, and is co-chair of the California-China Climate Institute's Academic Advisory Board.
讲座摘要:
Chinese Global Environmentalism is the story of China’s embrace of green development on the global stage, its historical evolution and motivations and the underlying governance mechanisms used to implement it. Most of all, it concerns the implications for China’s rise and the natural environment.
