讲座预告 | International Law and Banking Regulation

4月8日，北京大学国际法学院（英文简称“STL”）公开讲座"International Law and Banking Regulation" 将于国际法学院大楼203教室举行，欢迎感兴趣的师生积极到场参加！具体信息如下：

Professor Kern Alexander's research focuses on the international and comparative aspects of financial law and regulation. His research covers all aspects of international banking regulation and its implementation into the European Union and United States. He is also one of the most quoted authorities on US financial sanctions laws, particularly their regulatory and jurisdictional aspects, and extraterritorial application. He was the Specialist Adviser to the British Parliament's Joint Select Committee on the Financial Services Act 2012 (equivalent to the USA Dodd-Frank Act) and was a Member of the European Parliament's Expert Panel on Financial Services. He advised the UK Serious Fraud Office in its investigations and prosecutions of the rigging of the London InterBank Offered Rate (LIBOR). He has authored commissioned reports for the United Nations and the G20 on international banking regulation and financial sanctions. He has given oral and written evidence on many occasions to the European Parliament Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and to various British Parliamentary Committees on banking and financial market regulation and economic sanctions. He is an editorial board member and article reviewer for several leading academic journals.
