Xili Lake International Science and Education City is one of the major strategic platforms for Shenzhen to promote the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. 2025 X-Lake Forum is a key measure to advance the construction of the Xili Lake International Science and Education City. It aims to thoroughly implement the series of important speeches and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping for Guangdong and Shenzhen, and effectively support the implementation of the national strategy for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Recently, the National Intellectual Property Administration and Peking University signed a cooperation agreement to jointly establish the International Intellectual Property Academy relying on the School of Transnational Law at Peking University. The cooperation will focus on decision-making management, talent cultivation, platform construction, faculty recruiting and talent exchange, international exchange and cooperation, etc. It will give full play to the profound foundation of Peking University's law discipline and Shenzhen's unique geographical advantages. Through the north and the south collaboration, it will achieve complementary advantages and strive to create a high-end platform for cultivating intellectual property talents with international influence, integrating education, scientific research, think tank and international cooperation, so as to serve the national strategy of building an intellectual property power and the construction of a high-level intellectual property talent highland in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Against this background, Peking University School of Transnational Law, together with the Nanshan Lawyers' Working Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, will hold the "Legal Sub-forum of 2025 X-Lake Forum " on November 16, 2025. The sub-forum will take "AI For Science: Frontier Law and Practice Seminar" as the core topic, focus on the new opportunities and challenges brought by the development of artificial intelligence technology to the legal industry, aim to build a bridge for dialogue between legal theory and practice, discuss the cultivation of foreign-related intellectual property talents, and promote the construction of a legal system compatible with scientific and technological innovation.
