The Office of Graduate and International Programs administers admissions for exchange and visiting programs and for the LLM program, provides student advising for LLM and visiting and exchange students, and provides international student life programming. The Office of Graduate and International Programs should be the first point of contact for inquiries by LLM, exchange, and visiting students, and by international JD/JM students on visa and residence permit inquiries.
Director of Graduate and International Programs
Xiaoya (Sylvia) Qiu earned her J.D. from University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. During law school, she spent one year working as a student caseworker at the Refugee and Immigration Division of Downtown Legal Services, providing innovative legal services for low income clients. As an avid mooter, she participated in the 2019 Willms & Shier Environmental Law Moot in Canada, in the 27th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot virtually and coached for the Canadian Competition Law Moot. Prior to law school, she earned her Masters of Arts in Criminology from the University of Toronto, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from University of California, Los Angeles.

Assistant Director of International Programs
Yating Du is the Assistant Director of International Programs, responsible for STL LL.M. program and international programs. Yating earned her J.D. from Handong International Law School and LL.M. from Regent Law School. Yating has been admitted to Washington D.C. Bar. Prior to joining STL, Yating worked as chief counsel for international legal affairs in IT company.
