2026毕业典礼 |教师代表吴奕锋致辞

亲爱的同学们，尊敬的各位老师、各位家长：

Dear graduates, distinguished faculty members, and respected parents,

大家好。非常荣幸能够代表学院老师，在今天这个特殊的时刻，和大家说几句话。

Good morning. It is a great honor for me to speak today on behalf of the faculty at this special moment.

这个季节，毕业致辞到处都是。如果把它们喂给AI，也能生成一篇不会出错的话。但那样的致辞，终究只是正确的套话。所以今天，我想跟大家说几句心里话。

This is the season of commencement speeches. If we were to feed thousands of such speeches into AI, it could probably generate another one flawlessly. But a speech like that, however polished, would still amount to little more than correct platitudes. So today, I would rather speak to you from the heart.

我之所以这么想，是因为我自己经历过毕业，深深地受到自己老师说的话的影响。

Perhaps I feel this way because I, too, once sat where you are sitting now, and because I was deeply shaped by words spoken by my own teachers at graduation.

我一直记得自己在北大硕士毕业时，葛云松老师的毕业致辞。葛老师说：我们学习法律的人，即便将来面对不公义时，不敢站出来，但起码，你可以围观，可以给站出来的人喝彩，可以给他们点个赞。这句话我一直记到今天。

I still vividly remember the commencement speech delivered by Professor Ge Yunsong at my own master’s graduation ceremony at Peking University. Professor Ge said:

“Those of us who study law may someday find ourselves lacking the courage to stand up against injustice. But at the very least, we can bear witness. We can applaud those who do stand up. We can lend them our support.” I have carried those words with me ever since.

老师们讲过那么多话，为什么偏偏这一句记得这么牢？

Teachers say many things over the years. Why is it that this one sentence stayed with me so powerfully?

我想，可能是因为我是一个相信行动能改变世界的人，但我还是一个不够勇敢却又想要自己更加勇敢的人。因此，葛老师的话给了我一个行动指引，让我知道可以不够勇敢的我至少可以做些什么。

I think it is because I have always been someone who believes that action can change the world, while also being someone who is not always brave enough, yet wishes to become braver. Professor Ge’s words offered me a guide: even if I could not always be fearless, there was still something meaningful I could do.

这也让我意识到，人真正记住的，往往不是那些“正确的话”，而是那些在某个时刻，真正回应了自己内心的话。

And over time, I came to realize something else: what people truly remember are rarely the “correct” words. What stays with us are the words that, at a particular moment, speak directly to something deep within us.

那么今天，我能给诸位提供什么呢？

So today, what can I offer all of you?

我想，是一点安慰。是当大家因为“不确定性”而感到焦虑时，一点微小的安慰。

I think perhaps only this: a little comfort. A small measure of comfort for the anxiety that uncertainty brings.

我们这一届同学，确实处在一个变化很快的时代，一个不确定的时代。

Yours is a generation graduating into an era of profound and rapid change — an age defined by uncertainty.

大家面临的第一个不确定性是什么呢？是AI带来的社会变化。AI正在大量地替代以往归为智力劳动的工作，将来会发展成什么样，会使得社会结构发生什么样的变化，目前还是不明朗的。社会需求的变化，必定也会引发教育的变化。但现在社会的变化不清楚，所以大家基本是按照原先的教育模式被培养出来的。

The first uncertainty you face is the transformation brought by AI. Artificial intelligence is already replacing many forms of work once considered intellectual labor. Where this development will ultimately lead, and how deeply it will reshape society, remains unclear. Social change inevitably transforms education as well. Yet because the future remains uncertain, most of you have still been trained under the educational models of the past.

能不能应对接下来的社会需求，不好说。

Will this preparation fully meet the demands of the future? No one can say for certain.

但好消息是，所有人都面临同样的不确定性，所有人都“不好说”，所以也“好说”。

But the good news is that everyone else faces the same uncertainty. No one truly knows. And because no one knows, possibilities remain open.

起码大家要有信心的是，我们的教育，并不拘泥于形式，更取向于实质，我们的视角，并不局限于规范，还探求事实与原因，我们的方法，向来是开放的，而不是封闭的。所以，同学们，事情并不变得糟糕，只是变得不确定，你们足够聪明，又经过良好的训练，深深吸一口气，放松一点吧。

What you should have confidence in is this: your education has never been narrowly formalistic; it has always sought substance over appearances. Your perspective has never been confined to rules alone; you have been trained to search for facts, causes, and deeper structures. Your methods have always been open rather than closed. So, my dear students, things have not become worse — only less certain. You are intelligent, well-trained, and deeply capable. Take a deep breath. Relax a little.

大家面临的第二个不确定性是什么呢？是全球局势的动荡与经济增长的持续放缓。从贸易摩擦到地缘冲突，从供应链重组到技术脱钩，逆全球化的浪潮正冲击着每一个经济体。我们学院天生以培养跨国法律人才为使命，与全球化的命运紧密相连。这种冲击，直接或间接地影响着你们的就业市场：跨国律所的业务结构调整、外资企业的在华收缩……这些都让原本清晰的职业路径变得模糊起来。

The second uncertainty you face is the turbulence of the global order and the continued slowdown of economic growth. From trade frictions to geopolitical conflict, from supply-chain restructuring to technological decoupling, the tide of deglobalization is reshaping every economy in the world. Our school was founded with a mission to cultivate transnational legal professionals. In many ways, our identity is inseparable from globalization itself. Naturally, these global shifts have affected your career landscape, directly or indirectly: restructuring within international law firms, contraction by foreign-invested enterprises in China, and the fading clarity of once well-defined professional paths.

但是，请不要被宏大的悲观叙事吓倒。

But please do not be overwhelmed by grand narratives of pessimism.

就个体命运而言，我们生在中国——这个世界上最大的坚持开放与全球化的经济体。中国没有关上大门。相反，这个国家比以往任何时候都更需要通晓国际规则、能够在规则博弈中寻找共识，能够参与全球治理的法律人才。

When it comes to individual destiny, remember this: we are in China — the world’s largest major economy still firmly committed to openness and globalization. China has not closed its doors. On the contrary, this country needs, more than ever before, legal professionals who understand international rules, who can seek consensus amid competing systems, and who can participate meaningfully in global governance.

而你们，恰恰是从这里走出去的、具备跨国视角、双语能力和知识储备的优秀毕业生。机会依然广阔，只是换了一种形式存在。

And you are precisely such graduates: individuals with transnational perspectives, bilingual abilities, and rigorous intellectual training. The opportunities remain vast. They simply exist in new forms.

大家面临的第三个不确定性是什么呢？是每一届毕业生都会面临的不确定性，是从校园跨向社会的不确定性。

The third uncertainty you face is one shared by every graduating class: the uncertainty of stepping from campus into society.

如果人生是一场漫长的竞赛，那么，大家跑赢了前面的二十来年，在以智力和成绩为标准的竞赛中，诸位都是顶尖的成功者。

If life is a long competition, then all of you have already excelled in the first twenty years. In a contest measured largely by intellect and academic performance, you have been among the very best.

但是，进入社会，又是另一场竞赛，而且是更残酷的竞赛。

But society is a different kind of competition — and often a harsher one.

在学校，尽管有ABCD分数排名，但终究还是落脚于你的成长，关心你有没有学到东西。但社会往往更追求结果，你得证明你的价值，事实上，你是否有了成长或者有没有学到东西，那是你的事情，关键是你能不能和别人合作，为一个组织真正创造价值。

At school, despite grades and rankings, the ultimate concern is still your growth: whether you are learning, whether you are developing as a person. Society, however, often cares more about outcomes. You must prove your value. Whether you have grown internally or learned deeply is, in many cases, your own private matter. What matters externally is whether you can collaborate with others and create real value for an organization.

你们会害怕，害怕输掉后面的竞赛，特别是，你们知道，竞赛的标准发生了改变，也更加的残酷和无情。

And that can be frightening. You fear losing the competitions that come next — especially because you know the rules have changed, and perhaps become colder and more unforgiving.

我们往往从历史预测未来，但是，学习成绩好的历史，往往是难以预测不局限于学习能力维度的未来的，因此，这个不确定的未来，令人忐忑不安。

We often use the past to predict the future. Yet a history of academic success does not necessarily predict a future that depends on far more than academic ability alone. And so the future, uncertain as it is, can feel unsettling.

我们可能会自我怀疑：

We begin to ask ourselves:

“我能做好吗？”

“Can I really do this?”

“我会不会失败？”

“What if I fail?”

“我会不会让看好我的人感到失望？”

“What if I disappoint the people who believed in me?”

当我们当下或者未来因为这些疑问而感到焦虑的时候，我的提醒是：请大家多爱自己一点。

When these questions make you anxious — now or in the future — I hope you will remember one thing: please be kinder to yourselves. Love yourselves a little more.

我们不妨把生命倒过来看：如果你能快乐地活到90岁，是不是比忧心忡忡地活到70岁要好？

Perhaps we can look at life from the other direction. If you could live happily to ninety, would that not be better than living anxiously to seventy?

整天抱着竞赛思维去生活，或许有利于社会（社保可以少发一些），但不利于你个人。

To approach every day with the mentality of endless competition may benefit society in some abstract sense — perhaps even save on pension payments — but it does not necessarily benefit you.

生活或许不是一场竞赛，而是一场以各种方式实现每天2400千卡能量摄入的旅途。

Maybe life is not really a competition at all. Maybe it is simply a journey of finding ways to sustain our daily 2400 calories of existence.

换句话说：大家如果是海鸥，附近恰好有一个海港，那么每天只需要去码头弄点薯条吃吃，剩下的都是自由飞翔的时间，这样子的生活，岂不快哉？

Or, to put it differently: if you were a seagull, and there happened to be a harbor nearby, perhaps all you would need each day would be to fly to the docks, steal a few French fries, and spend the rest of your time soaring freely through the sky. Would that not be a wonderful life?

我们进化出智慧的大脑，原本是为了更有效地躲避剑齿虎、更有效地合作狩猎猛犸象。

The human brain evolved so that we could better evade saber-toothed tigers and cooperate in hunting mammoths.

我们的文明已经走了这么远，如果科技和教育不能服务于我们更好地过好这一生，反而让我们忧心忡忡地怕输掉竞争，那么恐怕需要反思的不是社会，而是我们把生活的光谱弄得太狭窄了。

Civilization has already traveled so far. If technology and education cannot help us live better lives, but instead leave us perpetually anxious about losing competitions, then perhaps what needs reflection is not society itself, but the fact that we have narrowed the spectrum of life too severely.

或许，生活中需要担心的，只有一件事，那就是，确保每天2400千卡的摄入，剩下的，都是大家自由地填充意义，追求梦想，自我实现的空间。

Perhaps there is only one thing we truly need to worry about: making sure we have our daily 2400 calories. Everything beyond that is space — space for meaning, for dreams, for self-realization, for freely shaping our lives.

我当然知道，在座的诸位都是非常有志气、不服输、能咬牙坚持的青年人。无论我怎么说，你们都会设定一个理想的目标，并以此要求自己，奋发前行。

Of course, I know that everyone sitting here today is ambitious, resilient, and unwilling to give up. No matter what I say, you will still set lofty goals for yourselves and strive toward them with determination.

但是，在这个不确定的时代，我想特别提醒大家：不要只会“转化之爱”，还要学会“接纳之爱”。

But in this uncertain age, I especially hope you will learn not only what I would call “conditional love,” but also “accepting love.”

所谓“转化之爱”，就是只有达到某个目标时才允许自己被爱——考上好学校、找到好工作、成为别人眼中的成功者。

Conditional love means allowing yourself to feel worthy only after reaching a certain goal: entering a prestigious school, securing an impressive job, becoming successful in the eyes of others.

但我希望大家也能接纳自己的不足，接纳自己的局限，接纳自己的疲惫与沮丧。

But I hope you will also learn to accept your imperfections, your limitations, your exhaustion, and your moments of disappointment.

注重过程，相对化结果，体验生活当中非常具体、非常普通、但也非常真实的快乐。

Value the process. Relativize outcomes. Learn to experience the very ordinary, concrete, and deeply real joys of everyday life.

科技、文明、教育，最终都不应该只是让人更高效地竞争，而应该让人更好地生活。

Technology, civilization, and education should not exist merely to make human beings more efficient competitors. Ultimately, they should help people live better lives.

所以，在这个充满不确定性的时代里，我特别希望大家：多爱自己一点。不仅努力成为优秀的人，也努力成为快乐的人。

So in this age of uncertainty, my deepest wish for all of you is this: love yourselves a little more. Strive not only to become outstanding people, but also happy people.

最后，祝愿大家既有面对世界变化的勇气，也有在压力之中善待自己的能力。

Finally, I wish all of you both the courage to face a changing world and the wisdom to treat yourselves gently amid pressure and uncertainty.
